About Specific Pharma
Specific Pharma is the European market leader in unlicensed medicines and medicines for special purposes, including products for clinical trials and medicines required during supply shortages. Unlicensed medicines are pharmaceutical products that have not been approved for use in Denmark and therefore require a special dispensing authorisation from the Danish Medicines Agency.
A subsidiary of Nomeco, Specific Pharma was founded in response to the growing demand from pharmacies for medicines that are not marketed in Denmark. Today, Specific Pharma helps patients, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies and suppliers across Europe gain access to the medicines they need – whether or not those medicines are available on the Danish market.

Who Does Specific Pharma Support?
Specific Pharma helps patients gain access to medicines that are unavailable in Denmark due to discontinuation, supply shortages or because they have not yet been authorised or marketed locally.
As we do not provide medicines directly to patients, we recommend speaking with your doctor, who can evaluate your treatment needs and request access to the appropriate medication when required.
Healthcare professionals may encounter patients who require treatments that are unavailable on the Danish market. Through our extensive global supplier network, Specific Pharma supports the identification and sourcing of appropriate medicines to meet individual patient needs.
At Specific Pharma, we work in close collaboration with health authorities and healthcare professionals, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, regulations and industry standards.
